a military band playing at the Old Town Hall

these witches chuckle and move at the clap of hands

in memory of the victims of communism - students Jan Palach (21) and Jan Zajic (19), both burned themselves alive in 1969 in protest of the Soviet invasion. the former left a death note asking the rest like him do not follow his act but to stay alive and fight for the cause.

freedom!

Wenceslas Square - this square had always been the focus for demonstrations and public gatherings. during the communist time, czechs held several public demonstrations here.

waiting for a local bus back to prague

someone's nicely decorated garden with small ornaments

this chapel crypt contains the bones of 40,000 people arranged in the form of pyramids, garlands and a chandelier

the cemetry outside the church was too overcrowded in the past. therefore, in order to have a proper burial for other people, the bones were stored inside the church.

here we are at the Bone Church

we took a 1.5 hrs bus to Kutna Hora to visit the Bone Church aka Sedlec Kostnice in czech. in front of me was a russian whom we met on the bus...

a commercial ride for the tourists

i think choon kiat would like this

a man making his own handicraft by melting some black metals or were they iron?

the Toy Museum - show casing toys from the fairy tales

we both like this old clock tower

and finally, they were here to relieve him... guard changing ceremony at noon
i think i may not like this job
Prague Castle and Hradcany

the end of the bridge crossing

he looked very good with the shiny gold cross

this musical box plays on its own... all you have to do is to wind it... in hokkien, i would say that this is a very good "tan jiak" tool. no experience needed.

a jazz band... see the man on the left? he used egg whiskers to make some "tsk tsk" sound and that really amused the crowd

and on the left side...

on the right side of the river... can you see the castle at the top left? that's where we were heading...

as the nursey ryhme goes: "row row row your boat gently down the stream... merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream..."

crossing Charles Bridge once again

i like the pinnochio inside

the astronomical clock (1410) that entertains the crowds of people on the hour with its parade of apostles and a bell-ringing skeleton

Old Town Hall

Powder Gate

arrived at Charles Bridge aka Karluv Most in czech

a puppet shop

the Sex Museum featuring some sex toys made and used in the olden days...
